Charcoal Burning Workshop

Training event

AT ASTON ROWANT NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE, OFF A40, near junction 6 M40.

Led by John Morris, Chiltern Woodlands Project in partnership with Natural England, with experienced local charcoal burner Don MacLeod.

Arrive to start at 9.30am aim to finish by 4pm

Meet at Natural England office.

Teas & Coffees provided. Bring your own lunch.

Includes outdoor practical demonstration of charcoal burning process using metal ring kilns and wood cut on the reserve, so please bring suitable boots, wet weather clothing and work gloves as there will be some hands on work.

Handouts will be provided.

Numbers limited, booking essential.

Cost £40 per person – please make cheques payable to Chiltern Woodlands Project, invoices can be provided for BACS payment.
