HS2 Petitioning Pop-in Service

Wednesday 7 May 2014

Local actions groups are offering some free help on preparing petitions against the HS2 Hybrid Bill over the next couple of weeks.

Any individual or organisation which is affected by the planned HS2 route between London and Birmingham can petition the Parliamentary Select Committee set up to consider the Hybrid Bill. It is vital that the Committee gets a full picture of exactly how much damage and disruption the line will cause.

Petitions from local authorities and businesses must be submitted by 16th May 2014. Petitions from individuals must be submitted by 23rd May 2014.

From 6th - 21st May (weekdays only) the action groups, including the HS2 Action Alliance, are manning an office which has been loaned by Chiltern District Council in Amersham. Pop in and do your petition on the spot and get help and guidance.

Opening hours: 10am - 4pm weekdays

Location: Chiltern District Council Offices, King George V House, King George V Road, Amersham HP6 5AW

Contact: Roger (0759 304 6500)

Full information on who can petition and how to go about it can be found here: http://www.parliament.uk/business/bills-and-legislation/current-bills/hybrid-bills/hybrid-bills-faqs/
