HS2 judicial reviews start 3rd December

Friday 30 November 2012

Five cases against the Government's plans for High Speed 2 are being heard in the High Court, starting on Monday 3rd December and concluding on Tuesday 11th December.

The HS2 Action Alliance is bringing two challenges: one on the Government's failure to comply with environmental legislation and the other on a failure to carry out a fair consultation on compensation.

The 51m group of local authorities, Aylesbury Golf Club and Heathrow Hub are also bringing cases to the High Court.

Rulings on the cases are expected in January.
