Over the last few months practical work has continued to improve the accessibility of Coleshill Common from Windmill Hill. Large old conifers around an electrcity sub-station have been felled to open up the path. As the sub-station is a bit of an eye-sore, local craftsman Mick Walters constructed a screen of woven hazel around it.
Next winter a hedge of native shrubs will be planted. Once established, the scrubs will provide local wildlife with nectar and berries while screening the sub-station.
