Monday 17 March 2014
The Big Chilterns Weekend has been organised by the Chilterns Tourism Network as part of English Tourism Week. The event takes place on the 5th and 6th April 2014 and is open to all those living or working in the Chilterns, including adjacent villages/towns.
The Network wants to promote the fantastic range of attractions and outdoor activities the Chilterns has to offer, to everyone who lives in or near this wonderful area of countryside. The Network is a newly-established organisation supported by 150 local tourism businesses which is working to build a widely-recognised brand for the Chilterns as a tourism destination.
The Big Chilterns competition has over 35 prizes on offer, donated by local businesses, which range from a night in a B&B, dinner vouchers, theatre tickets, brewery tours, free entry to attractions, tickets for the Go Ape high wire adventure and lots more. Most are to be redeemed on 5 or 6 April but some can be arranged at a later date. The competition is open to all those living or working in the Chilterns (including outlying towns), just send an email to email@example.com by 26th March 2014 telling us where your favourite place is in the naturally outstanding Chilterns. Please include your name and address so we know where to contact you if you are lucky enough to be a winner. Winners will be notified by email by Monday 31st March.
What’s more, if you email a copyright-free photo of your favourite Chilterns place (could be an attraction, view, favourite walk) you could win a bonus prize of a £20 voucher to spend at Rumseys Chocolaterie.
