£1.5 million for rural funding pot

Friday 6 March 2015

The Chilterns and Clay Vales LEADER programme has received a new allocation of funds: £1.5 million, which will be allocated in grants during the period 2015 - 2020.

The monies are provided by the EU and the UK Government with the aim of helping rural businesses to develop and diversify and supporting local communities. The previous local LEADER programme ran between 2008 and 2013 and distributed £2.5 million in grants to farmers, foresters, tourism businesses, local producers and community organisations.

The new funding programme will not start operating until after the General Election, but in the meantime the Chilterns and Clay Vales LEADER team are happy to answer queries and discuss potential applications.
